The Metaverse SAND token rallied 75% in one week and outperform MANA as of late as it entered the top 50 cryptocurrency list. In today’s altcoin news, we are reading more about price analysis.
The popular metaverse token SAND surged into the top 50 cryptocurrencies by market cap yesterday at 35 after growing 76% in the past week according to the data from CoinMarketCap. SAND is the native utility token for The Sandbox blockchain game and it has been rallying for more than a month now. Tuesday’s announcement that Adidas had a plot reserved in the Sandbox only contributed to the growth this week. While the token was trading briefly for more than a dollar back at the end of August, it didn’t manage to sustain the price level for more than a week.
Hey @adidasoriginals, impossible is nothing in the Metaverse. What if we invite all of the original thinkers and do-ers to design our future together?https://t.co/xQrfAWHBky pic.twitter.com/fTCaqf6fho

SAND crossed the $1 mark again which happened one day after Facebook rebranded to META as a part of the bid to corner the metaverse. SAND only grew since then to a point of $6.90 at the time of writing so if we put this into perspective, it marks an increase of more than 17,000% since New YEar’s Day when it was only 4 cents. Tomorrow, The Sandbox opens the doors to curious crypto fans and gamers for the first time as Animoca alpha tests the game for three weeks time. Starting at 1 PM UTC, each player will have the access to play three different multiplayer games in the Sandbox and an additional 15 games will be available to the 5000 lucky winners of Alpha Pass NFT which were given as a prize.
SAND’s price rises and falls alongside MANA which is also another metaverse token. MANA is the native token for the open-world game called Decentraland that launched in February a year ago but then suffered a huge loss of 4.5% right as Bitcoin and Ethereum post losses of around 10%. After a few months of coverage, the world will peer into the Sandbox tomorrow and we can surely expect a few surprises.
As recently reported, The play-to-earn metaverse tokens are surging after what have been a very few exciting days for the Metaverse lovers, especially when it comes to valuations across the crypto board. While the broader market is quite shaky right now, there were a few exceptions among the metaverse tokens like MANA and SAND. Looking at the price analysis there has been more than 80% of the projects that have something to do with this topic and started trading in the green on a weekly basis.
