Prodlane, a German SaaS platform for data-driven product management in the manufacturing industry, has raised €760K in pre-seed funding round. The investment round was led by a Swiss family office with an industrial background, with participation from S2S Ventures AG and several business angels from the industry, product management and HR.

Funds utilisation

Developing products in industrial companies is a highly complex process involving a lot of data and stakeholders and takes several years. Prodlane will use the funding to expand its sales and development team and enter the market.

Cynthia Jurytko, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and Arnout Devos, Investment
Partner at S2S Ventures AG, commented, “We strongly believe in the stellar Prodlane team. They are disrupting the huge industrial product innovation market with their deep software expertise, product management experience, and incredible business acumen.”

Carolin Maier, CEO & Co-Founder of Prodlane, added, “Our SaaS platform will help industrial companies to significantly optimise product management processes. Our target group is troubled by outdated software and we are looking forward to transforming the market! The funding round is an important step for us to bring the product into the market. I am proud of our strong team and look forward to the journey ahead!”

A diverse team!

Prodlane was founded by Moritz v. Hammerstein, Mathias Jakob and Carolin Maier in 2021 in Leipzig, Germany, and was a part of the last HHL Spinlab Accelerator batch. Prodlane has 15 team members comprising 20%. The team members belong to nationalities such as Germany, Switzerland, Pakistan, Brazil, and Turkey.

Carolin has a Business Background, and she did her Bachelor’s and Master’s in Business Innovation at the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland. Mathias has more than five years of experience as a developer and has built and led an international team of six developers in his last job. Moritz has practical experience in hardware development and software product management.

What does Prodlane do?

Product managers play a key role, but they lack suitable software similar to the one used by product managers in the IT sector. Prodlane’s SaaS platform is industrial company’s collaborative workspace for product and project management. The software enables data-driven decision-making and creates connected and fully traceable project documentation.

It enables medium and large companies to achieve lean process execution and intelligent knowledge management. The company provides a collaborative workspace, guides through the development process and connects the content with the underlying data.

Prodlane aims to revolutionise product management in industrial companies. It builds software that accelerates the development process by integrating different data sources, reduces unnecessary administrative effort and enables better decision-making.
